Mana News:- Telangana Film Chamber Chairman Pratani Ramakrishna Goud expressed his support for Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s decision to disallow benefit shows and ticket price hikes for big movies. Speaking at a press conference held today at the TFCC office, Goud stated that this decision would benefit small films in the Telugu film industry (Tollywood).Chairman Pratani Ramakrishna Goud’s Remarks, He highlighted that CM Revanth Reddy understands the intricacies of the film industry, which led to this thoughtful decision. He added that exorbitant ticket prices for big films were deterring audiences from theaters, thereby negatively impacting small films. While 90% of the films released annually are small-scale productions, only 10% are big-budget films.He specifically mentioned that the recently increased ticket prices for Pushpa 2 reached as high as ₹3,000, causing financial strain on families. He narrated a tragic incident where a woman named Revathi lost her life in a stampede at a theater, and her son, Sri Tej, was severely injured. Despite this, neither the film’s producers nor its lead actor, Allu Arjun, extended help to the affected family. He criticized Allu Arjun for blaming the police for the incident and failing to take responsibility. Goud also brought attention to the high digital projection charges in Telangana, which are significantly higher than in other states. He announced plans to meet the Chief Minister and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy to address these issues further.TFCC Secretary JVR praised CM Revanth Reddy for sending a strong message through the Assembly that no one would be allowed to endanger public safety. He criticized Pushpa 2 for allegedly promoting negative themes and called on audiences to avoid supporting such films.T-MAA Working President Kiran expressed condolences to the family of Revathi and wished for the speedy recovery of her son, Sri Tej. He criticized Allu Arjun for being indifferent to the tragedy and focusing on the film’s promotion instead. Kiran supported the CM’s decision, stating that it would benefit smaller actors, new artists, and technicians.The event was attended by TFCC Vice President Alla Bakshu, Fighters’ Union President Ravi, EC Member Rajasekhar Reddy, Organizing Secretary Srinivas Goud, and others.
